'84 Volvo 240 vs. '04 VW golf

Hey everyone, A few days ago I was driving along the N 405 here in Socal and was in my wagon's first ever fender bender. The truck (Chevy 2500) in front of me slammed on its brakes, so i slammed on mine and so on; I managed to stop in time (glad I just put new brakes in ;-)), but the 2004 VW golf behind me didn't and hit me in the right rear.

In the pictures you can see, my trusty 240 just has a little dent in the tailgate, and a broken tail light (along with a broken driving light up front from the golf pushing me into the truck). I've already bent back the trim and put it on, so the trim is prefect; and I have the tail light off, waiting for a trip fo rthe junkyard for a "new" one.

The golf on the other hand is a little more beat up, its got a pushed in headlight, bend hood, fender, bumper, etc.

Though my car may be old, and slow, it managed to stop really well (with a nice loud screech :-D) and it held up against the golf really well. I find more and more reasons to like my little 240....

So for now its Volvo: 1 VW: 0
