Dunno how to talk you out of it...In my rather bias opinion, the Volvo 1 series is one of the best Volvos ever made, and the 164 the most elegant. I have never owned but have driven or had a ride in one, and all I can say is that whether its an auto or a stick, its all good. Mine is a 74 144, and it is my car of choice during weekends and holidays.
