3k miles + '91 w/190k = crazy? 200

Hello All,
Moving from Tampa to Reno, NV and i was wondering if a 3000 mile trip is even an option with for my '91 with about 190,000 miles?

I have planned on:
changing timing belt
new plugs
fuel filter
flame trap change
rear output seal change
new tires

...and we won't even talk about the electrical demons in the tailights.
Maybe a car more local to reno might fit the bill. Opinions on what else I should change or watch for? Is anyone near Tampa interested in a cheap blue '91 240?
