Check Engine Light Stays On 200 1992

I have a 92 240 with 130,000 miles. The "Check Engine" light came on recently and stays on. I have had a couple of 240s over the years and have never seen this light come on. The Volvo owners manual says to "go to a volvo dealer for diagnostics".

Any thoughts on what the most likely problems would be. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
