AC cuts out at high temp 900

Our V90 loses AC (FEELS like compressor cuts off) only at higher ambient temps-happens more often at highway speeds.I have not been able to verify that the clutch on the compressor has disengaged-we are always going somewhere when this happens.Stays that way for 10 min or so.Then starts working.Have checked low side pressure-it seems normal at about 30 psi.I did add R-134 in the spring-system was barely cooling. It works fine every time I try to check it!
sredwine V90 has 101K
