Some other miscellanious AC malfunctions S90-V90

Not sure whether I mentioned it, but I had A/C cutouts on the trip from Baltimore to Nashville. It would blow hot air, I'd turn it off and let it rest, and turned it on to cold air again. Stopped early on at a Rockville MD dealer and they diagnosed it as a faulty low pressure switch. None in stock so I drove on. Didn't drive it much once here, but on a week-end trip to Illinios it started acting up again. I had ordered a new switch at my Champaign, IL dealer and while I didn't get there in time to have it installed (actually about a 5 minute job), my dear machanic friend there refused to have me drive home again without it fixed, if possible. Saturday evening, he topped of the freon and installed the switch. He was sceptical of the diagnosis and thought the high temp switch on the compressor was the culprit. He had had several go bad during this recent heat wave. The engine was too hot to do a quick bypass on it, and I really couldn't reach the wires from the top the next day. I arrived back in Nashville with cold air, for which I'm grateful. So it would appear as though it was this low pressure switch that caused the cutout. Apparently a rare, but quite possible A/C cutout cause.

Another source is a switch that resides on the accumulator. But when it goes, the A/c stays off.
