Location of VIN # 67 wagon 120-130

Hey all,
Well I was going to get my care emission tested today and they went to find the VIN on my car and much to my dismay it was nowhere to be found. The serial # on the block matches my title and what not but they want it all in one place. So I guess my question is that is there a place on the body with that info, I looked above the heater cowl and the model number and chassis number are there but those dont match my VIN on my title. I bought it off the orginal owner in Tucson here and he said its the original engine/tranny (with a few rebuilds in there of course...). So the person at the testing facility said I could get a level 2 inspection and get a new VIN number, I would prefer not to do that so I guess I have a few other option which I doubt are legal ie adding the B18D infront of my engine block and calling that my "VIN" or make a little aluminum plate with the # and mount it somewhere in the engine bay. But if I do have to get it inspected so be it, I just dont know what that all entails...

So to summerize is the chassis # above the heater cowl suposed to match the engine block and am I looking in the right places?

Thanks in advance
-Alan in frustration....
