I have just bought a 1990 Volvo 240 DL which has done 196K . I have run it for 3500 mile s
So far it runs fine .Recently there is sound coming from first chamber of exhaust pipe . I think the first chamber in pipe from engine is Catalytic converter. When I rev engine just above the idle or when running in low gear . I hear a sound which sound like some fan or nut is loose and vibrating
On me investigation it seems that sound comes from inside the catalytic converter
What should I do .
There is usually a hissing sound from exhaust . Is it OK or something is leaking
regards
Gopesh
