Fixing the Braking 'Shake' in the front end. 700 1988

I noticed that a re-occurring problem with front end/steering wheel shake while braking went away when I rebuilt the front suspension on my 93 944 so I decided to have a go at the front of the 88 765 that I have been restoring, since it had been getting progressively worse.

I ordered a set of stay bushings (#6819057) from FCP Groton and a set of Urethane upper sway bar bushings (#1205991u). After spending about 1 1/2 hours on the installation Saturday, we took the old girl out for a test drive and were amazed at the difference in ride and road feel. The shaking also went away which leads me to believe that there are a lot of shops making a killing on unnecessary brake jobs on the 700/900 Volvos.

Regards,
