HELP!-240DL wagon , wont turn 200

Well , I finally had time to test this out, and the car started up by bridging the red wire(battery ) to the spade lug the (blue yellow. I have replaced the ignition switch as well, where else should I be looking? This is a standard trans. Also can anybody tell me if the Ig switch has to go on a certain way?

I see a little cut out on the back side the side that mounts on to the key housing part of the switch.
