How is the Computer on an 89? 200

I agree with Rhaire that 89s in particular are known for the first generation ECUs with number ending in 561 which had a high failure rate. Then came white labe 561s - better and the 951 ECUs which not only aren't failure prone, but have upgrades. I particularly not easier starts when very cold out with the 951.

That said; my personal theory is that all of the 561s that were bad failed many years ago and the ones that are still alive are fine. I have seen several cars in the past couple of years going strong with their original, pink label 561s.
