Pusher or Puller 700 1990

I would convert it to a pusher. At some speed, the airflow and your two fans should cancel out, and overheating could happen, possibly quite quickly.

Volvo's temp gauges have a compensation circuit to keep it in the middle even though the temp rises and falls as you drive. I just read a thread for an 850 that said that his temp varied between 170 and 209 with a true gauge. He did not mention his Volvo gauge, but I'll bet it never moved from dead center.

All my 740s had pusher fans already. ('88 745 GLE, '89 744 TI, '90 745 GL, '90 744 TI)

The '90s had really powerful fans, they ran when needed and whenever the AC was on. What happened to yours?
