late LH 2.4 question 200

I'm installing an LH setup from an 89/90 240 into my BMW 2002. My question is that the air mass meter has no adjustment on it, like the earlier 2.4 LH setups. I believe this is because the system has the advanced volvo "engine management" system. The system is supposed to adapt to account for engine wear.

Now here's my questions.

1.) is there a way to adjust the Air Mass Meter by opening the top cover to the unit, or other way?

2.)Could I simply bolt this onto my setup and let the ecu figure out everything once I go to closed loop?

Thanks for any help you can offer
