On roadtrip - B23 wants to quit w/o applying gas and brake pedal when going slow 200

Greetings,

I have an '81 245 with a B23 and it wants to quit on me when I slow down... ie. if I pull up to a stop light and don't put my foot on the gas and brake to keep the rpm's around 800-1000 rpm's it will slowly drop to about 500 and quit. I'm on a rather long roadtrip and it appears to slowly be getting worse.
Once moving above 1000 rpm it appears okay. Perhaps a slight decrease in acceleration, but nothing major.

Any trouble-shooting ideas will be appreciated (ie. vaccuum lines to check, how to tell if the fuel-pump is starting to go, should I change the fuel filter, would the oxygen sensor do this?, etc) as I'm still a good 12-15 hrs from home.

Thanks in advance,

Jaak
