transmission 700 1990

Has anyone experienced this?

I changed the kickdown cable. Adjusted properly etc. or at least that is what I think.
When I am accelerating and press the brake, the car stops, them I immediately press the gas pedal again - the revs go up the the transmission many time switched late so that the car kicks very hard.
sometimes also when I am decelerating and stop. after some time when the car is stopped a kick from the transmission if felt..
could that be from the kickdown or from the transmission. i drove for a while with kickdown cable detached - could that have caused problem?

thank you in advance

stefan
