Putting new brake pads on a V90/965 S90-V90 1997

The Volvo in question is a 1997 965. Used daily by wife.sig.

Reviewing the PO's service record shows a lot of brake replacement. Calipers and rotors, plus the usual pads. I got the car with 128K, and now with 133K I expect to need to do front brakes soon.

Volvo brakes with which I have experience are all 240s, 1988 or older, no ABS.

Saw at AutoZone a Haynes Manual for the 740. Can you tell me if it will have anything to help with the V90 brakes. ??

Do you know if the 700/900 cars have the proportioning valves in the lines to the rear brakes like the 240s have?

Many thanks.

Bob
