Bloody Volvo Drivers, I have returned. I think last time I vented on here I was in an internet cafe near where my car was stuck with no clutch. I seem to remember that the Haynes refused to tell me what fluid to add to the clutch resovoir, and it wasn't printed on the filler cap either. I did eventually figure that one out, thanks to everyone who pointed out that it takes brake fluid stoopid.
Because I'm working on the brick at a friend's place, I have internet (I disconnected mine) as well as a digital camera and a bit of a dillemma on a KJet fuel pump swap. Attached should be some nice digital pics inside the left rear wheel arch of my 1977 245L Van.
I'm away at college at them moment and rather poor (I have $50 in my pocket till I find a job and rent and bills looming). I'm also a bit immobile with little fuel pressure and some horrible dying noises from the pump. I do have a second hand pump from my wreaker in Sydney, but I'm having a little difficulty swapping them over.
Here's the two pumps. I asked for a '77 fuel pump, and that's what they seem to have mailed me apart from the fitting on the out hose.

Here's where the current unit bolts up.

And this is the fitting on the donor pump.

Can I just swap the fittings over, or perform some clever bypass surgery, it's going to set me back by a week if I have to send this one back to sydney and get another one sent up?
Thanks for putting up with my ramblings and my impractical project car over the last few years.
