loss of acceleration

i have a 1986 245.my problem is a loss of accelaration, cold or hot,at about 2000 to 2500 rpm.i push in the clutch,then it drops back to idle and the pump come back on and drives again. once it get over 2500 rpm the volvo drives great.the air mast meter ,prepump,pressure regulator,air filter has been replaced.the fuel system has been look at.it only thing that has not been delt with is the ecu,notch sensor.it has got to be a electrical problem.the 1986 245 is a great volvo. i have never find this problem before. help. email me parrots6@bellsouth.net
