White smoke from exhaust 700 1986

Hi
I'm new to the volvo scene, and recently picked up a 86 760 turbo. The problem is when i'm idling i get white/grey smoke from the exhaust. When i'm driving the smoke kinda goes away (it's less noticable)...but if I stop at a light for like two minutes the smoke builds up real thick and leaves a cloud behind me when I pull off....The car doesnt overheat, there isn't any oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil indicating a blown head gasket. Is it possible for the turbo to be shot?
Ive been seaching the forums, and i'm starting to believe it is......
