Three General Questions 200 1989

Fellow bricksters, I have a few questions to ask. (Asked in order of importance)

1. The rubber piece that is around the driveshaft has i guess worn out. Can I replace it myself and if so how?

2. Are the front bumpers for the 88-93 240's Universal? I need to replace my bumper.

3. There is a blue 2-wire connector just below the coolant res. What is it for and is it vital to engine performance? If you need a pic of the connector let me know. I don't know how to post pics with the new site yet.
