740 dist o-ring replacement 700

hi all, on my new 1990 740 im replacing the distrubuter o-rings, the inside of the cap was dry so im not doing the tough to get oil seal. (thanks FAQ)
all is gone well, my question is: when reinstalling the rear bearing cap im thinking of a little silecone where the two metals meet, as this looks like a possible leak point.
i have done cam swaps and all on my 240s but this is a little different with the o-ring setup. anything else i should know.
what do you think? thanks

85 244ti = 201,000 many mods ;^)
