Air Mass Meter connections intermittent fail 900 1993

My air mass meter contacts need to have a tighter grip from the female attachment plug. Every 50 to 500 miles I have to clean the 4 contacts and plug with contact cleaner, applying electric grease to stop the stumbling idle & stalling.
What can be done other than thin strips of lead from Radio Shack inserted into the female plug clips (haven't done yet, due to fear I'll screw up the clips in the plug) ?
Does Permatex Copper enhance conductivity of electricity?
Any body try it before?
