brake fluid removal from MC 120-130

My MC rebuild kit (for '68 dual circuit setup) arrived from Sweden yeterday, and I want to perfornm the operation ASAP.

Before removing the MC from vehicle, I'm thinking I need to drain the brake fluid out of reservoir. Not able to suck the fluid out through cap, no turkey baster in sight. I'm assuming that brake fluid would come pouring out of MC, as soon as I loosen up the 2 brake lines running into the thing. OR is that not the case?

Will I have to open up the bleed screws by wheel in order to lower fluid level?

If I'm reading things correctly, Haynes manual suggests draining fluid through the bleed screws at wheel, while my Clymer manual suggests I simply detach the brake lines at MC, remove, and then dump out the fluid.
