Whats up with these Flame Trap Hoses? 200

Hey everybody,

So I've had some extra time on my hands, and figured that I should devote some of it to my 240 which has been running beautifully (esp. since cleaning the IAC, what an easy, yet important thing to do!)

Anyhooo, I was looking at my flame trap, and decided to give a clean and inspection... Damn good thing too, I noticed that the hose that goes "up" to the breather box (shorter hose, coming from below, you know?) was cracked to bejesus and back.

Would this be causing anything in particular? I already ordered a replacement hose, as the flame trap itself looks great, but that hose is uuugggllyyyyy.

Whaddya think? Thanks all, I hope the bricks are well!
