DanR: the running rich problem you had--960 900

Dan- back awhile ago you had a problem tracing down problems with your fuel mileage, did you correct this and how was it done?
I'm thinking I have a problem with mine now, it's getting at the best, around 22, check engine light came on the other day-temp sensor problem. reset the code and light has stayed off now for around 4 days-car will shift to high gear while engine is still reading cold on the dash-on my 97 model there is only one temp sensor, next to the thermostat.
On the later models will the ecu also read from the temp sensor as the earlier models and not shift to high until the engine comes up to tthe right temp?
Have had the injectors cleaned-new o2 sensors, new plugs, new throttle position sensor, have not replaced the rmp sensor behind the head- car runs real strong though with 220k miles on her-o yeah new coils about a year back also and new air filter just the other day-manns filter
Thanks for all responces
