who has experience with electric cooling fan instead of engine driven fan. 120-130

Search the archives- this all came up back at the beginning of the summer (hmmm, maybe I brought it up....) and there was one Amazonian who had a particularly good post about his fan installation. I basically did exactly what he did: a flexalite fan from Summit Racing in front of the radiator. Yeah, it was a bit over $100, but other than a couple stainless steel nuts and bolts and maybe some wire it had everything I needed and got the thing installed and working in a couple of hours.

I kinda doubt taking the mechanical fan off the front of the engine would really make any noticeable HP or mileage difference- but I do keep meaning to take mine off and see how things go without it.... Maybe this weekend!

Living in NYC, I get stuck in traffic EVERY time I drive my car- and the hotter it is out, the slower the traffic moves. A couple weeks ago it took me over TWO HOURS to go 2 miles over the Triborough Bridge in 90+ degree weather. I was thankful for having installed two things in 'the Bird:' the electric fan and a new stereo! The fan kept the temp guage at just slightly above halfway mark- it worked great. The stereo kept me entertained, though I was drenched in sweat....
