Anyone have experience with electric instead of engine driven fan? 140-160

I've got the in-hose sensor on my 142 (with an adjustable thermo cut in). On the 122 I soldered a brass nut in the bottom of the rad and screw a sensor into it. Neither have given any trouble although I do like the adjustable feature on the 142. On the 122 I had to buy 2 or 3 thermostats until I was happy with the cut in temp (using the temperature gauge as a guide).
Whatever you do, make sure you wire the power to the fan through a relay - they take a lot of current (maybe 25A?) at start up.
No downside that I have experienced, and certainly quieter and just maybe a horse or 2.
