Disassembling M46 OD Solenoid 200

Hello all,

I've read a few accounts of people taking apart this solenoid and fixing it... any clew as to how? I was able to take out the small circular clip, which revealed a spring and two small inner pieces and a couple o-ring, but could not find anything obviously wrong (no blockages or debris, failed o-rings, etc).

This particular solenoid clicks when connected to voltage, but the inner piece doesn't move as much as my other solenoid that functions occassionally and is currently installed.

Is there more to this, or will I just have to bite the bullet and get a fresh one?

Off a 1980 240 btw.
