Okay, great! Some of that info is a lot different from what you said earlier, which is fortunate.

Note that stock, both E and F motors used a .050" gasket. The .030" is for the carb B head. You are much better off with the thinner gasket and zero deck than with the thicker gasket and a thinner head, so it's good the head wasn't shaved any more than it was.
