info requested on tools needed for pinion shaft oil seal job 200 1989

Dear Brickboard,

My 1989 240 DL sedan has started to leak out of the rear end just behind where the drive shaft is connected to it.

I suspect my pinion shaft oil seal should be replaced.

My Haynes manual says that I will need a Volvo special tool (or substitite) to pull the shaft flange and a Volvo special tool (or substitute) to press the flange back on.

It seems to me that it would be wise to use special tools rather than to start banging around on the rear end with a hammer and pry bar.

Do any of you know where how I can purchase, borrow, or make the special tools I will need? I assume that going to Volvo is not a viable option.

It looks to me like if I try to make a tool, I may need to have a bolt that will fit into the flange shaft. I have no idea what size I need or if it is SAE or metric.

Please advise. Thank you.
