DIY Sport Exhaust 120-130

Yo, Will!!

I hate headers.. most cheap ones are crap! Noisy, don't seal, don't fit, inefficient, etc.!! If you want a good one it's gonna be in the $300 range or better and the only one I would buy would be though John Parker, he won't sell you the first on on the shelf, he will help you decide which one is best for your application. I think he has access to 3 or 4 configurations, based on your engines state of tune.

The folks at Skandix are working with the Simons people on a sport exhaust for the wagon. It is still a bit down the road. John Parker has completed his wagon exhaust design I believe. At $270 or so, his price is pretty close to Skandix' and ya know it's gonna be good stuff!!

I have a Skandix on my 66 coupe and love it. On my wagon, I've got an IPD style header and a locally fabbed 2 1/4" exhaust with a Dynomax muffer. It works OK, but no great savings over John's wagon system that wasn't available when I needed pipes! My wagon system fits OK but I have no doubt that John's is a much cleaner and well detailed piece of work... for about the same money!!

Mike
