Gearbox whine 200 1990

I noticed a reference to this issue in another post, but it would have been off-topic to ask about it in that thread. After I had my clutch replaced and flywheel resurfaced, I noticed some mechanical whine on accelleration. It has gotten less and less over the past two months or so, but i still catch it every once in a while. Should I worry? The work was done by a very competent independent Volvo specialist (in fact, he specialies in 200-700-900 series Volvos).
