If you're only talking about at idle speed, could it by chance be running rich the whole time? When it's overly rich it'll stumble at idle and almost die... Maybe?

Another thing to check, as stated below, is the fuel filter, my car used to be like that when my fuel filter was getting clogged with debris from my rusty gas tank, and would get so bad that I couldn't drive the car. I always carry around a spare now.(after going through probably more than 15 in the past three years that I've owned the car, I never really cleaned out the tank as I should've)
