Don't think the vacuum hose applies to '86 cars -- not sure, though 200 1986

Hi. I could easily be wrong about this, but doesn't that "fix" apply only to earlier systems, in which the vacuum hose went into the control box? I'm not sure if the '86 cars still had that arrangement.
