Stop for morining gas fill-up and car won't start? 200

Twice now, my wife started her 93 240 in the morning, drives 1.5 miles to the gas station for a fill-up and it won't restart.

I went to rescue her but by the time I got there the car decided to start up same as before about a week ago.

After it starts up it will miss/stumble during acceleration.
Then after about a mile or so it will start and run perfectly for the rest of the day.

Both times the same exact thing happened.
It starts cold and runs fine but when shut off after 1.5 miles it won’t restart.

I can hear both fuel pumps running but other than that I could not check it when the no start condition occurred.

I don't suspect it has anything to do with the gas stop but starting cold and then trying to restart before it warms up all the way?

Any suggestions what I should check?

Thanks,
Dale
