Driveshaft problems and removal. 200

After stopping at a gas station I get back in and put into drive and push on the gas and nothing happens, then "clunk" and the car goes forward. I've had the problem for 2 years now. Taken it to three shops including Mr Transmission. No one found anything. I've had the rear seal and pinion bearing on the tranny replaced and 2 flushes using the fill while flushing method. I've also replaced the rear suspension components. Tonite I found the center support on the driveshaft was torn and sagging down. The spring under it is none existant. I'm thinking that maybe the cause of the problem. I also checked my U joints.

Do I need to remove the whole driveshaft to replace the rubber mount and is there any tricks in removing it.

Thanks in advance

Chris
