79 245 Won't Turn Over 200 1979

Hi Folks-

I'm hoping you might have some thoughts about my 79 245 with 185k. Up until yesterday, I would turn the key and she would fire right up. Yesterday, I'd turn the key, get a couple of "rrr. . rrrr. . rrRRRR" cranks and the car would run fine. Today, though, I'm having to make sure to park on inclines so I can do running starts. Once running, the car is fine.

I'm assuming this is a starter motor but wanted to get y'all's thoughts before investing in a new starter. Could it be a contact somewhere between the key and the starter?

Thanks!

Fygar
