B30f fast idle 140-160

I put new rubber washers, top and bottom, on all 6 fuel injectors. When I started the car, the rpm's shot to 3,000 and in about 30 seconds it went to 3500. Needless to say, I shut it down.
Took off the air cleaner and tried it again, same results. Is air getting through the injectors at the base? It normally starts at 600rmp and slowly works its way to 1200.
I put my hand over the air intake and the air pump hose, but the rpms did not go down. The car should have died.
The small O rings at the base of the injectors were thinner but the same diameter as the old rings. I hope it is something else, the engine temp started to go through the roof.

Thanks,
Klaus
