Fortunately the solenoid was not functioning properly due to lack of electrical contact. When the brake was applied it would pop open but a second later would close back again. During this test a small puff of smoke came from the copper connector. After cleaning and readjusting it , works fine. Not sure if there is room. Sorry I don't have more definitive answer for you. Good luck!
