Strut Bearing Replacement...still clunks!!! ARRRG! 200

Gang please help me,
I just finished replacing the driver's strut bearing last night, the old one was indeed hatched, and upon driving this morning the clunk is still there. Maybe even worse. Now when the car hits a dip in the road there is a pronounced clunk. Do you think I hve a slightly loose strut nut. I gave it a fair spin with the air impact so I can't see that being the case. Pleae help before I put a match to the ol' b#tch.

Mikey
