Using car radio as home radio......

I LIKE the SC-815 in my 1997 965. I like the controls and the station sensitivity and having the AM/FM, cassette, single CD modes, and the sound quality (system drives 6 not-too-large speakers).

Many years ago a co-worker set up a car radio in a bit of cabinet, added a power supply, antenna, and speakers, and had himself a rather nice radio.

That was before the days of the 14-pin plus 9-pin plus DIN connector radios, and I wonder if such a thing is even possible now?

Anyone ever try one?

Regards,

Bob
