blower fuse failure after evaporator cleaning 700 1989

1989 760 turbo with B230FT wagon. Evaporator was clogged due to buildup of dirt and whatnot over the years. Removed panels, glove box, blower motor and treated it with coil cleaner. The cleaner did a great job increasing the air flow and worked well for about 2 weeks. Now, the air conditioner will run for about five minutes or less and the blower fuse will fail. I have replaced the fuse several times with the same result. I believe that the blower is fine, because it will continue to work when the air conditioner is off. Still have the R12. Again, it worked great after the cleaning, hadnt been charged in at least 10 years.
