OIl Separator replacement 200 1990

Ive got a leak in the crank seal, before I have my shop change it, I read the FAQ on the the PCV/flametrap. Ive been religious about changing the flametrap. But i noticed the past year the trap hasnt been cloged at all when i do oil changes. Tonight i tried the oil filler cap test. It rattles like a tea kettle when idling, and my hand feels a positive pressure coming up out of the valve cover. I can blow on the flame trap hose with some effort.

How hard is it to replace the oil separator ? how much dismantiling? Im pretty patient with working in tight places, but I think dissassembly of the intake is beyond my ability. Can it be done without dissassembing the intake/injector harness?

How much luck have people had with pouring GUNK down the hose? I think replacing it is the better way. thanks
