To Bilstein or not to Bilstein, that is the question 700 1989

My 87 Turbo wagon's suspension is pretty much the same as JMARS but with overload rear springs. I dithered about for many years with KYB's,Boge Turbo gas and was never really satisfied.

I wanted a sure footed vehicle for carrying whitewater kayaks and camping gear around the southeast where switchbacks and tight turns are the norm in the mountains (er, hills compared to Colorado).

The Bilsteins made it handle just like I've always wanted!

I don't mind a good firm ride but others might call it bone jarring?

My guess is that you really don't want the Bilsteins HD's. I consider them to be performance oriented with less emphasis on comfort.
