To Bilstein or not to Bilstein, that is the question 700 1989

Just based on the two responses I received today from jmars and rolyak (thanks, guys) it sounds as if I made a better choice for my needs than I would have had I bought the Bilsteins HDs. While the TCs probably would have been more compliant than the Sachs, the way I rack up miles I'm better off with the lifetime guarantee on the Sachs.

I'm fairly certain the fellow on ebay is selling the Touring Class Bilsteins, which can be gotten for around $200 from FCP.

The interesting part to all this is that I test drove an '02 XC70 this weekend with 85k on the clock and while the ride was certainly more supple than my 740 by no means would I call it plush even with it's IRS. Just seems to be the trade off between a car built more for good handling no matter the strut/shock combo and one built purely for comfort.

Of course, if I wanted to spring $30k+ for a car with active suspension then I could have the best of both worlds....and the repair bills that go with them.
