HELP! Front bumper stuck under headlights! HELP! URGENT! 900

Depression of the bumper shocks usually means replacing it. That, however, won't help you in your sister's VOlvo's situation.

There is a device known as a "come along" used to make very taught a strand of barbed wire fence while putting up such a fence. It exerts a lot of pull. Available at rural type hardware, farm & ranch or lumber yard stores.

It would require hooking the device to something immovable in front of the car. Then and using a cable to make a loop over the depressed shock and attaching it to the come along. Put the emergency brakes on, and car in Park.

Start pulling, and you will get the shock pulled out. Probably should pull some, wait some, pull some, etc.

Good Luck,

Bob

PS Another thought. Use a tow rope and another car. Can you move the sister's Volvo back far enough to get another car in front of it?

Can you get the scissor jack up under there horizontally to push the bumper out?

Or, just remove the displaced fender trim.
