steering S90-V90

Keep checking your fluid,top up if it goes down.Run engine,turn steering from lock to lock several times.Turn off engine,wait awhile.Check level,repeat until noise goes away.If this doesn't help it may be something serious.Why was the car in the shop-what was the symptom before?
sredwine V90 has 103K,'94 940T has 163K
