a few questions.... 200 1989

When I drive over speedbumps or unavoidable holes in the road, there is a loud CLUNK from the left front of the car. When I had the vehicle aligned, the guy said everything looked okay. Could it be the ball joint? The shocks feel like they are still good.

Every once in awhile, the brake pedal will go almost to the floor. There is plenty of fluid in the master cylinder. Could it be failing?

Lastly, how difficult is it to install a power antenna? My non-power antenna broke off in a terrible car wash incident which I would like to avoid in the future. There is a wire with a plug near the current antenna that looks like it may be for a power antenna.

Thanks for all the advise. This is my second 240 and only has about 50,000 miles on it as far as I can tell. The odometer still doesn't work despite three cluster changes.
