Leakage at the top of the float chamber would definitely besomething I've noticed--when it idled I noticed wetness running down the side of the right float chamber--I thought it was because I was missing a gasket there, but someone once pointed out to me that it shouldn't be leaking like that even without the gasket, because the screws alone should keep a fairly tight seal there, especially just idling (of course it was idling rough, even backfiring at times). Hmmm.
