Cargo Box for a Yakima Rack S90-V90 1998

Greetings arby,

I use Thule products, but I am sure the folks at Yakima offer fine products as well.

The box I use is a short, wide, tall one. If I recall correctly I paid around $249 bucks for it. It's not as aerodynamic as the long sleek units, and it isn't as aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but it holds alot of bulky and odd-shaped stuff, like a big Graco baby stroller plus a whole lot more. I've used it for camping and it makes a great place to throw all your bulky items like folding chairs and sleeping bags, not to mention wet or dirty stuff that you would rather not put in the car, like the tarp that kept your tent dry during last night's thunderstorm.

Many of the longer, narrow and sleeker boxes seemed to be geared more towards carrying long items like skis, which I don't use. The tall stubby units offer alot of cubic feet of storage when compared to the long narrow units.

Oh, and the short boxes will not obscure your sunroof, if that matters to you at all.

But it's been a few years since I've shopped for a box......they probably have a zillion other units and configurations out there to cater to the SUV folks.

Have fun,
kkoch
